The Cristo Rey is 26 meters tall and is located in the village of Los andes and is a very large statue of Christ with his outstretched arms on top of a mountain spreading his love and warmth. The statue was started by sculptor Gerardo Navia and finished by an Italian named Alideo Tazzioli to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the end of the War of a Thousand days.
